It's quite a while since I have left a concert on a high but last night's performance at the Sydney Opera House by Lisa Budin gave me just that.
The excellent aspect of her singing-for me - is that Lisa has the same purity and beauty of tone as Karen Carpenter but she does it her way. After all ,the particular performance is " Remembering " .
In the 1970's I enjoyed attending a concert by Karen and Richard Carpenter  in Sydney.
That musical event left a lasting impression on me but I have to say that sitting listening intently to Lisa last night , I was given the same joy.
There was nothing missing ! Congratulations Lisa and also to that wonderful group of musicians.

WOW.....What a concert , I just had to let you know how much we all enjoyed the show yesterday.
It was excellent from start to finish and as for the musicians they were brilliant.
Looking around the theatre and seeing an audience enjoying themselves bopping , and clapping along to all the songs ,all ages, all types ,groups of women, young and old lovers, it was just fabulous.
Well Done  !!!!!!

Lisa's performance was spectacular. She had the whole package, talent, charisma, elegance and she was close up and personal with her audience, providing a very entertaining evening for us all. Her voice sent chills up my spine as I thought I was listening to Karen Carpenter. I will certainly be going to her next concert.

Just wanted to say that we came to your show on Saturday May 9th 2015 , at North Ryde Rsl. It was a truly beautiful and magical night.
You have one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. Closing your eyes we could swear we were listening to Karen herself. You sang my favorite song " I Need to be in love " - truly  beautiful rendition and it made me cry. I was the guy singng along who you gave the rose to. I gave it to my mum sittng next to me. We bought your 2 cds which we loved . I hope to be able to see you perform again some time soon. I was hoping you would come out so i could tell you in person just how amazing the night was, but a soon as I saw your email address I knew I could contact you that way...

I was at a private event with this talented entertainer  " Lisa Budin " may I say I was so impressed with her voice and show that I would highly recommend her in any situation , she was funny , her voice was liquid gold , she interacted with people that had never heard of her before they just loved it !  they raved and raved about her for days ....
In my opinion one of the best singers Ive have heard for a long time .

Over the last weekend , I attended a great show @ NORTH RYDE RSL called 
" Remembering The Carpenters & Superstars  " with a full band plus brass section and a wonderful Backing Vocalist .
May I say I haven't been that entertained like this for a very long time .
Lisa,s voice was captivating and her strong stage presents was so entertaining .
we  danced , sang along , laughed and cried , do yourself a favour and watch our for Lisa Budin Price .
I am a huge CARPENTERS fan  and felt I was listening to Karen Carpenters herself ..
Loved every second .
I will defiantly be following Lisa and look forward to the next show !

You only have to close your eyes and it's as though Karen Carpenter is in the room singing, It's amazing.  Lisa brought this group of musicians together and they truly re -create the sound of " The Carpenters "  The only thing she needs is Richard himself hopefully one day it may be possible. Most enjoyable and I will be at the next show..

What a great time I had at the Opera House , Lisa's voice captured the whole room what a talent so natural and "pitch perfect". I loved every minute and will look forward to the next performance at the Opera House.I will be in the front row !!! Also a big thank you to all her wonderful band members who were just amazing. "Remembering The Carpenters " at Wenty Leagues Club on  Saturday  July 8th 2017.
Lisa Budin captured the whole sound of every classic  song you would want to hear
She had Karens Carpenters timber voice , the  class , the Band , the sound the lights  and  the staging  was stunning , fresh flowers for the stage including 12 long stemed red roses that Lisa gave away at the end of her performance , which I found out that night she does every show !     Top  quality  entertainment.
I will be following Lisa on her journey ahead entertaining the crowds and look forward to the next great show .
WELL DONE   !!!       the sell out crowd loved you !!!

Hi My name is Joan Rowan ,

 

I attended the last show at Glen Street Theatre on October the 8th 2022.

 

Its the best show I have seen in a long  long time , I could not speak more highly of Lisa , her voice was just so pure and I could  understand every word .

The musicians were OUTSTANDING , Lisa got us all up dancing and singing the whole night , it was just as though she was in our lounge room singing to my husband and I .

 

I have been to thousands of shows In my lifetime and I'm 86 years old , I just had to write this testimonial as I felt so strongly of talking about this show .

 

I will be following Lisa for the rest of my days and am looking forward to the next one !
